Liturgical Music
The role of music is to support and enhance the prayer of the assembly. At Holy Cross music for liturgical and paraliturgical celebrations follows the guidelines established in Music in Catholic Worship developed by the bishops of the United States and supported by the Diocese of Springfield. These guidelines, based on pastoral, liturgical, and musical considerations, also apply to celebrations of Christian Burial and the sacrament of marriage.
