Parish Assembly
Each year parishioners are encouraged to attend this activity usually held in the school meeting room.
What is the Parish Assembly?
Through parish assemblies and dialog with parishioners the pastoral council has identified ways in which the parish can live out its mission. Three main goals have been formulated and objectives established to fulfill them. The goals are:
Goal One: Create additional opportunities to build community in the parish, with special emphasis on involving young adults and families in parish life.
Goal Two: Increase the number of opportunities for spiritual growth within the parish.
Goal Three: Provide increased outreach to families and individuals in need of assistance.
At the assembly council members review the pastoral plan and report on this year's progress toward goals and objectives. Parishioners have the opportunity to learn what is being done, share their concerns for the parish, and express ideas on following the parish plan. Parishioners may make additional suggestions for following the plan and add new objectives. It is also a time to celebrate the achievements at Holy Cross.
