Parish Nurses
Holy Cross has had a parish nursing ministry since 2003. Parish nursing is a non-denominational specialty practice that combines professional nursing and health ministry. It is a blend of the historic practice of professional nursing and the basic assumptions of many faiths: we care for ourselves and others as an expression of God's love.
Our parish nurses provide regular blood pressure screenings, weekly bulletin health topics, and two professional educational presentations a year, during our Dine and Learn programs. The presentations meet the guidelines for continuing education hours as defined by the Board of Registration in Nursing. For more information, please email joanbreitung@comcast.net.
